Mystique Barrel Brewing and Lager House is rooted in Pigtown, Baltimore. We draw inspiration from tradition, producing balanced yet complex beers. Beers so good it’s easy to drink more than one in a sitting. Crisp pre-prohibition lagers. Complex barrel-aged ales. Beers brewed with patience, served to neighbors we actually know by name, in a neighborhood we call home.

There’s home. There’s work. And then there’s the place in between that’s just yours. A place where you’re not an employee, a parent, or any other role you have to play throughout your day. You’re simply a person with a cold pint and good company. That’s what we built here.
Mystique Barrel Brewing and Lager House sits in the heart of Pigtown, Baltimore.
We’re a lager house and also produce mixed fermentation beers which means you’ll always find a beer that’s crisp and easy to drink alongside something rare, unusual, and definitively interesting. Inspired by tradition, we explore recipes to let you savor vintage flavors or delve into something bold and new, with beers that other breweries don’t make.
But the beer is only part of it. We’re here because this neighborhood and you deserve a real third space. Somewhere welcoming, unpretentious, and genuinely yours. Live music, trivia nights, cooking classes, jazz Sundays. Something worth getting off the couch for pretty much every week, and Tom behind the bar more often than not, happy to tell you exactly what went into whatever’s in your glass. Dogs are welcome. Everyone is welcome.
At Mystique, we strive to have a little bit for everyone. We love variety and a well curated menu. We also produce our own in house hard seltzers and non alcoholic beverages. Our kitchen also features food paired to enjoy with our beers and we often offer new specials.
